We’re just getting started

We created the JednaBiH coalition to unite activists in the diaspora nationwide and get more involved in changing the extremely tense situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) through civic engagement.

On Saturday, February 26, 2022, over 1,500 members of the diaspora and allies gathered to recognize the 30th anniversary of BiH’s independence in Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, D.C, and San Diego. We rallied and marched for a united BiH, to call attention to the escalating political situation and threats of violence and secession in BiH.

While the day marked the first time Bosnia and Herzegovina's flag was raised in Chicago's history, we’re just getting started.

Join us at the 2022 BiH Diaspora Conference, an annual conference bringing together the BiH diaspora for a weekend of workshops and networking. The theme this year, reUNITED: Revitalizing Solidarity within the BiH Diaspora, will be a renewal of solidarity on all fronts for the Bosnian diaspora worldwide as we come together after the last two difficult years we’ve all faced during the global COVID-19 pandemic. We will look at how to build solidarity through our sessions from our presenters, panelists, and keynote speakers that will bring us back together as a community.

Starting on Friday, May 13, 2022, with a mix of virtual and in-person programming in Los Angeles, California.  From 10am-3:30pm PDT, BIHDC will host workshops and presentations virtually for all conference attendees. If you cannot join in person and would like to attend the virtual day only, please register here and select VIRTUAL TICKET.

The networking event on May 13th and all other workshops on May 14th will be in person in Los Angeles.
